Your credit score will temporarily drop a few points, but it will recover within the year, so don't sweat it!

Dan. question. Can both cards be on the same starwoods points account. so that when I transfer the 10,000 points to the airline of my choice, I get the 5,000 points bonus beacuse I redeemed 20,000 points in tottal? or does each card account have its own starwoods points account??? Thnaks
When I say both cards i refer to the the regular card as well as the business card!
Also, do these points ever expire? and do you need to be an active card member to tranfer the points?

Good questions: 1. Yes, they can both go to the same account. Alternatively if you can't get the business card, you and anyone in your household can each open up just the consumer card, and then combine those points into 1 account, getting you the bonus as well.
2. SPG points expire if you have no SPG activity for 12 months. Any hotel stay or credit card purchase extends the life of all of your SPG points for 12 months.
3. You can transfer the points at any time, you do not need the Amex to be open in order to transfer points.
